Fairmont Princes Resort hosts afternoon Christmas concert to benefit The Harvest Compassion Center

Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Harvest Compassion Center, a food and clothing pantry local to Phoenix, presents a benefit concert with world-renowned talent and classic Christmas favorites on Saturday, December 19th at the Fairmont Princess Resort in Scottsdale. Doors open at 1:00 pm.

A limited number of tickets are on sale now at $25/$50 with VIP tickets for $100 at . VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the artists in a private reception following the event.

All tickets include free parking as well as a 50% discount off ice skating and pictures with Santa at the Princess Resort on the day of the concert until 6:00pm.

This concert reunites the popular duo of Jubilant Sykes with world-renowned guitarist Christopher Parkening, who will join the John Beasley Trio for a very special Christmas musical presentation of classic favorites, jazzy cool standards and the very best Christmas musical treats.

Jubilant Sykes is a Grammy-nominated baritone and classically trained vocalist who draws on gospel and jazz influences in his performances. His unique gifts have taken him from such diverse stages as the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Opera Berlin, Carnegie Hall and London’s Barbican Centre to the Apollo Theater, Hollywood Bowl, New Orleans Jazz Festival and hundreds of other venues around the world. He toured and sang with Julie Andrews, appeared as a featured soloist on the televised tribute to Brian Wilson and with Josh Groban and subsequently Carlos Santana at the Hollywood Bowl.

Christopher Parkening is celebrated as one of the world’s preeminent virtuosos of the classical guitar. Parkening’s performances, recordings and collaborations, which have included artists such as Kathleen Battle, Renée Fleming, Placido Domingo, Josh Groban and composer/conductors John Williams and Elmer Bernstein, have received the highest worldwide acclaim. A frequent soloist with leading orchestras, Parkening has performed at the White House and appeared on 20/20, The Today Show, The Tonight Show, Good Morning America and the Grammy® Awards. Parkening has recorded extensively for Angel/EMI Classics, and has received two Grammy® nominations.

An original artist with a highly expressive and personal style, Grammy-nominated recording artist John Beasley’s music career spans three decades. Beasley’s credits reads like a “who’s who” list in the music and entertainment world performing, recording, and touring with major jazz, pop, and world artists; composing for hit-TV series; arranging for orchestras; working on award-winning films; and at the helm of reality singing shows as Music Director. He is a Governor at the GRAMMY Recording Academy and a Guest Lecturer at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music.
